Nobel Symphony
This is one of the most exciting classes I experienced during my time at MCAD. Our class banged heads to produced an exciting interactive performance for the Nobel Symphony at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Event coordination was handled by VocalEssence.
I was given the task of creating a MIDI drum triggering system that tied into Justin’s video rendering patch. We used Max/MSP/Jitter for the projected video system. Simple piezo mics were used to trigger video changes on screen.
Sound and video documentation are available on MPR’s Website. More information can be found at the VocalEssence Archives, The Rake, and nobel.mcad.edu.
